We've got everything you need to know about the 2012 Wella Trend Vision Awards.

Wella Professionals Trend Vision 2012

We love the start of a New Year and the clean slates that come with it. It’s out with the old and in with the new as we ring in 2012… well for the Wella Professionals Trend Vision Award looks anyway. Yes those clever folk at Wella have been at it again, forecasting the fashion directions for the year ahead, displaying them in four themes: Blaze, Grace, Roxy and Celeste.

The 2012 portfolio represents four archetypal female personalities who are bold and command attention, so let’s bring out the ladies.

Blaze
Blaze

Blaze: The Femme Fatale
A woman of fiery passion, Blaze is a modern yet unpredictable take on South-American exoticism. Combining the confidence of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo and the liquid sensuality of 1920’s Latin actor Rudolpho Valentino she brings strong focus to bold and dramatic colours, maintaining crescendos of pinks glimmering on her eyes, lips and cheeks. This woman of fiery passion with near masculine pride sports hair that is glossed, boldly short and sharp cut contrasting flamboyant fuchsia accents against sober blacks to combine femininity with androgyny. This young and beautiful woman is tough and full of character.

Grace

Grace: The Modern Muse
Paying homage to nature, Grace celebrates and rediscovers handcrafted quality, natural materials and the value of authenticity. Inspired by the radiance and purity of nature, she shines with the golden glow of the desert sun, exuding an effortless yet sophisticated presence wherever she goes. Flaunting a neutral colour palette comprised of beige and taupe her hair is simple yet luxurious complementing her golden skin tone and semi-matte neutral lip.

Celeste
Celeste

Celeste: The Visionary
Moving toward the edge of innovation and into outer space, Celeste is inspired by an otherworldly beauty. Mysterious with an edge of comic daring this future focused heroine maintains a pioneering style that dares to define a new vision of femininity. Her style is shiny, sleek and elegant the perfect compliment to her alabaster skin. Her hair is infused with pale lilac and rose blondes finished with grey tips and fused with a touch of gold. She mixes NASA Couture with rose gold designed from new matter, constructed within a 4D world.

Roxy
Roxy

Roxy: The scene-stealer
This born extrovert makes each and every move a statement, maintaining strong style focus on times gone by, lapping up the old 70s glamour of studio 54. Mixing experimental creativity with VIP society, she is purposeful, orchestrated and completely self-aware. Complementing her sleek and chic style her hair boasts extreme width and texture with shades or blackened purple, violets, brunettes and rich mahogany. Her playfully sophisticated look is finished with bold makeup, impeccable brows and lashes and attention commanding accessories.

So there you have it. Let the games begin…
